Organizations and Markets Workshop, 2018

The experimentalists from LESSAC Dijon, GATE Lyon and PSE Paris organize a 2 days workshop in Dijon, on November 8th and 9th of November, in "Organizations and Markets".

This workshop is the part of a longer event for PhD students, organized on several days of intensive PhD courses consisting in 4h mini-workshops starting on Monday 5th of November and ending on Saturday 10th of November, and of the 10th anniversary of the LESSAC.

The plenary speakers on Thursday and Friday November 8th and 9th of November are Matthias Sutter, Martin Kocher, Daniel Chen, Roberto Weber, Marie-Claire Villeval, Nobuyuki Hanaki, John Duffy, Nicolas Jacquemet, Eli Spiegelman, Fabrice Le Lec, Béatrice Boulu Reshef, Marc Willinger, Fabio Galeotti, Anastasia Danilov, Giuseppe Attanasi, Subhasish Chowdhury and Adam Zylbersztejn. The instensive mini-workshops given on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 10th of November are taught by Romain Espinosa, Julie Rosaz, Anastasia Danilov, Subhasish Chowdhury and Fabio Galeotti.

The workshop is organized in honor of Vernon Smith. Vernon Smith will give a plenary talk for about 45 minutes on Friday. Before his talk, Brice Corgnet, Angela Sutan, Nikos Georgantzis, Eli Spiegelman and Roberto Hernan will give some 5 minutes insights on "how I met Vernon Smith", i.e. discuss one of his papers that changed our lives (and inspired some of our work)! The other talks are 30 minutes. The precise program is available here.

There will be also 3 "Brilliant Idea Fairs" on Thursday and Friday November 8th and 9th of November: those are slots for PhD students to present in 10 minutes a nice idea on which they look for help, co-authors or feedback.

The workshop and classes will take place at the main building of the Burgundy School of Business, 29 rue Sambin, 21000 Dijon.

These events are sponsord by the LESSAC, the GATE, the PSE, the Burgundy School of Business and the SABE.
